How to clean your Inverna products
With regard to cleaning, this should be done through dry cleaning. However, if you prefer to do it at home, follow these steps:
- Prepare a homemade solution by mixing liquid detergent or shampoo with water.
- Use the foam generated by mixing the shampoo with water to clean the surface of your item. Avoid using water directly, as humidity can affect the quality of the leather.
- Apply talcum powder to absorb moisture and dirt accumulated on the leather. Use a soft brush or brush to gently remove dirt. The talcum powder will act as a cleaning agent without the need for water.
- Let the item dry in the sun or use a hair dryer. Exposure to the sun helps the alpaca fiber expand and gain more volume, returning its pompous and soft appearance.
What we should avoid
Avoid using the washing machine to clean your products. This method can be too aggressive and damage the delicate alpaca fiber.
Avoid applying direct heat to your alpaca leather products, whether by using dryers, irons or other devices.
